SBQuantum

SB Quantum is using quantum sensing to disrupt magnetometry. They have developed a Nitrogen Vacancy Diamond Sensor, coupled with proprietary algorithms including tensor gradiometry, to improve geological interpretations (e.g. drill hole targeting) and reduce costs. This technology reduces the boreholes required in exploration by having higher-resolution magnetic surveys to give greater confidence. This will save costs and move towards greener extraction processes.
These innovations also enable two additional applications for mining: navigation for underground vehicles (e.g. AVs in GPS-denied environments) and anti-collision systems. SB Quantum’s sensors offer a size and form factor advantage over incumbent superconducting quantum interference devices in the market.
